Description

Matterhorn and surrounding 4000ers. Conditions: Observe group conditions per the product details. Departure: Zermatt.

The classic among Valais scenic flights: in around 20 minutes the helicopter takes you from Zermatt right up close to the Matterhorn, which at 4,478 metres is arguably the most famous mountain in Switzerland. From the air, the striking pyramid reveals itself from perspectives unreachable from the ground, surrounded by the four-thousanders of the Valais Alps.

The flight is operated by Air Zermatt, the traditional company founded in 1965, known worldwide for its rescue flights in the red-and-white helicopters and which flies around 2,000 rescue missions each year. The pilots know the region from their daily operations like almost no one else.

The price is per person. Flights can be requested directly; operation depends on the weather.
