On a private or charter flight, the helicopter is entirely yours for the booked time. You decide the departure point, route and intermediate stops, and the pilot picks you up at the location of your choice, as far as permits allow. This makes charter flights ideal for business appointments, special occasions, weddings, group outings or simply for an exclusive flight experience without a fixed schedule. Unlike a scenic flight in an open group, a charter is an exclusive flight: you share the helicopter with no one else and the programme follows your wishes alone. Billing is usually per helicopter and flight time, for up to five or six passengers depending on the type. Many providers allow intermediate landings, for example at a mountain restaurant, and can issue the flight as a gift on request.
