Description
Bernina massif. Conditions: Check conditions in the shop. Departure: Samedan-St. Moritz.
At 4,050 metres, Piz Bernina is the only four-thousander in the Eastern Alps, and this glacier flight brings you as close to it as normally only mountaineers get: from Samedan the route leads to the highest peaks of the Bernina group, past Piz Roseg, the legendary Biancograt and Piz Palü with its glaciated flanks, plus views over the Morteratsch glacier and the lake landscape of the Upper Engadine.
The combination of granite walls, ice and high valley makes this flight one of the most spectacular in eastern Switzerland. Flights operate year-round in good weather, with pilots trained in mountain flying.
